Timber Defence is simply applied

• Apply a liberal first coat Timber Defence.
• Apply second coat as soon as first coat has soaked in.
• 3rd coat is optional, but able to be applied when the 2nd coat has soaked in.
• When finished – let it dry – 48-72hrs.
• One litre covers approximately 4-6 sqm using 2 coats and depending on timber type and

The product is available in 1 & 5 litre bottles, 205 litre drum and 1000 litre pallet-based IBC.

Only use on unsealed timber.

Why Would I Choose Timber Defence Over Another Product?

There are several main reasons why you would choose to use Timber Defence.

• Firstly cost. It works out to around $9.95 per square metre. Other products on the market start at around $40.00 per square metre and can be up to $60.00 a square metre.
• Coverage. Timber Defence coverage is approx. 4-5sq mtrs per litre; 2 wet-on-wet coats finished – other products can be as little as 0.9 sq metres and require 3 coats.
• Ease of application. Slop it on; it all soaks into the timber. Second coat goes on while first coat is still wet. Jobs done a dusted in one go.
• Timber Defence dries clear. Timber defence does something the others can’t; it seals the timber and allows for a natural timber finish.
• Maintenance. No maintenance required and reapplication is not possible. Once Timber Defence dries and cures within the timber, it’s a onetime, lifetime, job done and dusted.
• Timber Defence can be over-coated with any top coat; clear or coloured.

TIMBER DEFENCE FOR PINE – CLEAR – ALL WEATHER EXPOSED SYSTEM

This is a CLEAR all weather bushfire compliant system for use on pine timbers. It can be used in all bushfire zones up to and including BAL29.

AS3959-2009 Bushfire compliant when used on pine timbers-Tested by CSIRO.

The system is compromised of 3 products:

• Timber Defence – 2 coats
• Sikkens Cetol BLX-Pro – 3 coats
• Paint FR – which is added to the Sikkens Cetol BLX-Pro

The technical datasheet should be read in its entirety to ensure you have a complete understanding of what is required of the system, and the possible variation that can be used for solid colour finishes.

Freight

Timber defence ships as normal freight when shipped on a pallet but otherwise ships as a dangerous good with associated costs.
